If you think about it. The characters in movies are fake. The storyline and conflict is fake. Sure the actors are real but the character they are playing are not. So, if movies with real actors can make you cry and make you angry and just make you feel, desite the characters and situations being fictional, why is it so strange that anime can make somene cry as well? Why is it that when an anime makes me cry or makes me mad, I just need to calm down and shut up because “it isn’t real”? But when someones sobbing violently because they just finished “The Fault in Our Stars”, no one judges. No one tells you to get over it and shut up. I don’t understand why its okay to cry and rant about a show or a movie with actors and actresses but you’re seen as stupid and told “shut up” and “its not real” when you do the same with anime. News flash people, Harry Potter is just as fictional as any anime character.
